As you know, I recently sold my romance, LUCKY BREAK to Entangled Publishing. I've been editing like a machine ever since. I've gone through some pretty tough rounds. Not hard really, just in-depth and requiring a lot of work.
Which is GOOD. I'm thankful for that.
Fast forward to my new work in progress. As I'm writing this new book, I've noticed myself looking for the things I had to work on in the first book. A lot of the time, I don't realize I'm doing it. I'm also paying more attention to each line as I write it for those little things that would slip by me before.
I have what I call, "fall back words" that I didn't know I had. They're certain words that I "fall back" on a lot. Words that I now know to look for as I'm writing and to do a search for afterward.
It's fun to see these little changes in my writing in such a short amount of time. It might change my process a little, but I think that can be a good thing, too.
Okay, that's all from me for today. The muse is calling and I have a super funny scene in my head that I want to get down.
What are you working on? Reading anything good?
